With the active support of the Department of Food Safety (Ministry of Health), on November 10, in Nam Dinh City, the Vietnam Food Safety Science and Technology Association (VINAFOSA) coordinated with the Women’s Union Nam Dinh province organized a training conference: ” Food safety and choosing safe food ” for food producers, processors, traders and consumers in Nam Dinh province.

Dr. Le Van Giang – Chairman of VINAFOSA Association chaired the conference. Also attending the conference were Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Ha, Vice President of the Women’s Union of Nam Dinh province, representatives of the Food Safety Department and a number of relevant agencies of Nam Dinh province.

Attending the training were nearly 200 delegates who were members of the Women’s Union of Nam Dinh province and a number of food production, processing and trading establishments in Nam Dinh area, and representatives of some Departments of Hygiene and Safety. food products from the Northern provinces participate in exchange and discussion.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Dr. Le Van Giang – Chairman of VINAFOSA Association especially emphasized the role of food producers, processors and traders to create safe food products; Emphasizing the role of consumers, especially women, in choosing, preserving and using safe food.

Also at the opening ceremony of the conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Ha, Vice President of the Women’s Union of Nam Dinh province, shared some information related to food safety in Nam Dinh and some initial successes in building Building a safe food chain, building OCOP food products in Nam Dinh.

Also according to the leaders of VINAFOSA Association, in order to continue to consolidate and develop organizations under the Association, the President of the Association recently issued a decision to establish the Center for Science and Technology of Food Safety and Nutrition Region 1 Headquartered in Nam Dinh.

On November 8, 2023, the Department of Science and Technology of Nam Dinh province issued a Certificate of registration of scientific and technological activities to this Center.

At the training conference, in the presence of representatives of relevant departments of Nam Dinh province and nearly 200 delegates attending, the Chairman of VINAFOSA Association awarded the establishment decision and the decision to appoint leadership positions.
